Most of your research at CMU's libraries can be done electronically. You can
search through Park Library's nearly one million books and other resources using
CENTRA, an online catalog of library holdings. For more in-depth research,
you can access more than 50 online
journals and academic resources such as Lexis-Nexis, ERIC, and MEDLINE.
In addition, Park Library offers:
- 320 public workstations with fast processors, read/write CD drives, DVD
drives, Internet connections, 19-inch color monitors, and software including
Microsoft Windows 2000, Office 2000, FrontPage, Adobe Acrobat Reader, and Quicktime
- more than 300 Ethernet connections for personal laptops
- copy machines that can be used as network printers
- adaptive technology

This 18-station IT public computer lab offers access to equipment such as
flatbed scanners and high-speed network printers. In addition, various
desktop publishing and word processing software packages are available on
each workstation.
